Bleedin' Christmas
Well, we get the wedding over with and then that annoying yet oh-so-fun time called Christmas is soon upon us. We have bought a few presents already, we want to get it over and done with before the Christmas rush. I reckon the majority of our present shopping will be online, which is very good since I'm sick of queueing and having to deal with grouchy shoppers. Some people may say that it takes the fun out of shopping if you shop online. Let me ask you this; what is so fun about getting bitched at and having people trample over you? What is so fun about having to wait in a queue for half an hour in a stuffy shop? I rest my case.
Christmas seems to send people doo-lally. Any other time of the year they're as nice as pie, as soon as November comes along - bam! Mr/Mrs Hyde comes out to play. People go psycho at Christmas time, its crazy! Any sign of a queue they go nuts, if little Billy's Playstation 3 is out of stock, they go mad. They then tend to take it out on fellow shoppers which is certainly not fun if you're at the end of it. I the mistake of starting Christmas shopping too late, I will not do that again. My goal is to get all the presents bought and wrapped by November. In December I can concentrate on getting the food and any extra things such as stocking fillers. I also want to send a few Christmas cards out in the post to family and friends. I aim to get that done by first week of December.
Our last Christmas was a bit hectic since we had only been in our rented home for a couple of months. We want this one to go smoother, it'll be our first Christmas together as husband and wife so we want to be sure to get loads of photos and many more good memories. I want to get out more and visit people this time round. I'd also like to invite people round to our home for some food and drink. I'm going to try to make mince pies this year. I don't like them, but I'd like to make them for other people. Also, I'm sure Sean will soon see them off.
Organisation and planning is the key.
