MySpace fails at coding MySpace fails at coding again

It’s soul destroying how awful MySpace’s web page coding is. You’d think a multi-million dollar company would go out of it’s way to ensure the site works properly with good coding and an easy to use interface. I keep asking myself why I still have an account there. I have an account because there’s some old work colleagues I have added who I like to keep in contact with, and they don’t have Facebook accounts. Even Facebook is becoming the pits with the countless, useless applications and the annoying invites sent to use them. Social networking sites really are going down the pan. I hardly use them anymore, I don’t see the point if they’re not going to be efficient.

Anybody else having the above problems with MySpace? How do you feel about Facebook and the way it’s going?

I despise MySpace. It’s mostly a place for skanks to hang out in my opinion. Now, I myself have an account on there. I created one YEARS ago, but never use it. I know not everyone who uses MySpace is a skank, and I am certainly not calling you one, but I think that’s just the vibe it gives off. On one hand, I can’t believe how bad their code is, but on the other- I can. :P I have a FaceBook account too, but I don’t really “get” it. It annoys me that I can’t join my college’s network because I no longer have a college email address. :P How stupid. I am so rolling my eyes about these two sites. I mean, if a person wasn’t my friend in high school,. what gives them the right to try and friend me on FaceBook? :P

@Ashley - No worries, I know you’re not calling me a skank. I can see your point. I get requests from girls for me to view their “sexy webcam”. It’s mega irritating. I only ever use these sites to keep in touch with old friends, I never add strangers. Facebook I can live with, but MySpace has really been annoying me and I’d delete it if my friends who have a MySpace had a Facebook. I have been trying to convince them Facebook is a little better, heh.

Well as you know from my last cynical, but amused blog post, I’m not too pleased with all those damn useless applications either… xD And I totally agree. hehe @__X;;; It’s getting pretty bad.

Facebook beats myspace in terms of code. I bet the most bastardized HTML code ever resides at a myspace profile :D

Too bad facebook is being attacked by squillions of applications :(

@Lene - Yes, people’s MySpace profiles can be awful. It makes me want to cry sometimes.
