Exercise needed

Sean and I really need to do some exercise. I want to lose some weight and so does he. We are going to start going swimming frequently since the swimming pool isn’t far from us. The only problem is I need to purchase a swimming costume since I had to throw the old one away. I forgotten about it and didn’t rinse it after swimming, it became mouldy and reeked of chlorine. It’s getting near to summer so I shouldn’t have a problem being able to buy one.

I love swimming, I always have. I was never good at PE at school, but I was very good when we had swimming. I chosen swimming as my major PE subject for years 10 and 11. I have always been a strong swimmer but sadly I’ve gotten a little rusty over the years. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things. It’ll be an excellent all body workout and hopefully the pounds will start dropping off. Not only will I need to exercise, I need to change my diet. I am aiming to spend more time cooking decent food and to lessen the fizzy drinks. I really want to make a go of it this time, I want Sean and I to be healthy. I think I will construct a meal plan so each week I know what food to pick up at the supermarket. Hopefully I will outdo myself and cook something very nice, I could possibly post the pictures up here! That’ll motivate me.

Anybody got any tips concerning weight loss and eating properly? We really need to get into this and stick to it. I hope I can record my progress here. I don’t want to be stick thin, I just want to lose a bit of weight.

I need to eat better and exercise too. Sigh. Yeah you should definitely take pix of the things you cook! I know that motivated me a bit (at least) to post photos of whenever I made Japanese bento lunches. :D

Have you ever seen the new show on TLC called “I Can Make You Thin”? I’ve only watched one show but the speaker guy has some pretty interesting views on how to “program your mind” to lose weight. I might research his methods before I officially say its cool or not though, lol.

I have heard of the show, but never seen in. Unfortunately I don’t have that channel.

I love your bento pictures, It has really interested me. I’d love to make bento lunches, too. :)

Well I wish someone *cough*melissa*cough* would get the ball rolling and get Lean Bee back up and running. I am trying to lose weight myself. My biggest thing has been not getting enough exercise and eating too big of a portion of food. I have seen ‘I Can Make You Thin” and the guy has some great ideas, but I don’t know if it would work for someone like me. I’ve been trying some of his methods though. Why not. I bought myself a pedometer and I am amazed by the number of steps I take. I need to take more! I’ve been trying to exercise daily, which has been easy since I’m on spring break. Once I get back to work it will be harder I know.

This may seem kind of childish, but I put stickers on my calendar for every 30 minutes of exercise I do. :oops:
