Design in the works
Yesterday I started working on a new site design. I have worked on it over twelve hours so far. It’s a long time to be working on a design, but it’s going to be a beauty. It’s the most advanced site layout I have ever attempted to create. I have really pushed myself this time round. I am even using a colour scheme I wouldn’t usually go for since I’m not keen on one of the colours, however I wanted to give it a shot and it is looking great.
I don’t want to reveal too much about the design yet, but I will tell you it has more of a “Web 2.0″ feel and it looks quite clean. I can also tell you it’s nothing like my previous site designs. My layouts are usually very simple and take just a few hours to make. However, this one is long-running project and I am using more advanced website designing techniques. I am very excited about it and can’t wait to reveal it to you all. I want it to be perfect before I release it, there’s still a heap of bugs I need to fix and some design changes that need to be complete. I haven’t got this excited about web design in a while. Some people may think I’m “sad” and have no life, but website design really gets me being creative. I am a creative person, I need to be creative in order to be stimulated and not be bored.
There’s still a long way to go. I am having a break from the coding for now. I have a house to tidy, laundry to sort and I still need to have breakfast (It is almost 3.30pm!). I also need to sort out my telephone bill since BT decided to refuse the direct debit payment, even though my bank account is in credit. I got a nasty letter from them saying they’d cut off the line if they did not receive payment by tomorrow. The date on the letter is the 10th, so it took almost a week for a letter to arrive? That has only given me one day to sort it. I am very annoyed about it especially since I have tried contacting customer services and I’ve been in a queue for ages. Oh well, I’ll try again later.

I can’t wait to see your new design!! I plan on changing mine around a bit sometime soon. I love seeing what people come up with.
