There has been awfully strong winds today, even though it is sunny. Sean and I were sitting in the living room when we heard a loud crack. We thought that our gate had blown open and hit the fence, but upon further inspection we saw the following:
The tree in our garden has took quite a beating, poor thing.
I looked up and then saw this:
I took the photos indoors, which is why they may not be the best quality. I wasn’t risking going outdoors and having a branch fall on top of me. 
That’s nothing.. remember my tree that half-broke? Well, the rest came CRASHING down today. Narrowly missing the neighbour’s fence, thank God.

@Jem: It may not seem like nothing, but it gave us quite a fright when it made that awful cracking noise. 
I’m just hoping the second branch doesn’t fall on anybody.
I’m glad nobody got hurt. That’s scary. When I lived in New York, there was this really old rickety tree that would always make scary noises and would its branches would bang against the window. :\
i hate to see trees falling.
they’re living things and they don’t have the power to run away from what’s gonna hit them *BANG!*

Few years ago it was so windy that two trees fell on our neighbor’s house :/.
