Portfolio, interview, wedding

I managed to get a job interview for a retail vacancy scheduled this morning, it will be held next Friday. Hopefully I will have more luck this time and get the job. We’ll see. I was asked to bring in my CV to the interview since I got the interview immediately over the telephone. I will go over my CV and make sure it is perfect. I did give it a revamp a while ago, but I want to double check.

I have been working on my new portfolio design for a few days. I am liking how it is turning out, I just need to make a few adjustments here and there. I will also be attempting to build it up with some decent content. It was suggested by my sister to have a go at a redesign for my dad’s website. My dad’s site is currently a redirect to a large flash file. which he intends to fill up with content. However it seems too cluttered to me, plus the flash takes minutes to load. I’m not sure he’ll use my design because it seems he is adamant the flash website will be fine. Whether he uses it or not, it can be showcased on the portfolio I suppose.

I got an invitation in the post today from a friend. She is getting married in late September and has invited Sean and I to her wedding reception. We will be accepting her invitation, I can’t wait to see her again! I haven’t spoken to her in a few years in person, we have been conversing on Facebook for the past few months. We were on the same college course and she is marrying the same man she was seeing in college. I am so happy for her, how sweet that they are still together. They have their own house and seem pretty much settled. I can’t wait to introduce Sean to my friend and her soon-to-be husband. It’s going to be good.

Speaking of weddings, it is exactly a month until my wedding anniversary! Wow, it has gone quick!
