Yes, I got my hair cut

The last time I had my hair cut was a year ago, today I got it cut again. It got too long to handle and I figured this was the last straw. I decided to pick up the phone and book an appointment. Now I am free from my long, heavy, sweaty, knotty hair. I had the style I have now a year ago, but more hair was took off this time. Two or so hours ago my hair was below my bust, almost reaching my belly. This is my hair now:

I am thrilled with the results. I feel so liberated! It looks lovely, too. It was daring for me to go a little below shoulder length since I have always had long hair, but I am impressed. The hairdressers were shocked at the amount of hair left on the floor afterwards. Oops!

These photographs do not do it justice, again this is due to having a primitive camera. Now I need to get my nasty skin seen to.

This is what the hair looks like from profile view. Amazing how a camera angle can slim someone down, eh?

I felt totally pampered. There’s nothing like having your hair washed by somebody else. It is so relaxing. Once I had my hair cut and blow dried, I had it straightened. The hairdresser put various creams and sprays into my hair that seems to have done the trick. If only I had the motivation to maintain my hair this way.

So, what do you think of my hair? Love it? Hate it? If you hate it, tough. I love it.

It’s very nice! I too chopped all mine off, at the beginning of the summer. It was well past my elbows, and while it looked nice when done properly, it was all damaged and crappy at the ends from too much dye. Now, it’s just past shoulder length, which is so easy to maintain!

I agree about the majesty of having your hair washed by someone else. Amazing.

Be careful the next time you wash it though! I used SO MUCH shampoo the first few times that I ended up being nearly suffocated by bubbles. :P

I love it Sarah! Doesn’t it feel nice going to the stylist and them doing all the shampoo in your hair? It’s my favorite. I haven’t had my haircut in over year simply because I am trying to see if I can grow mine out. I’ve always my hair the same length yours is now or a wee bit shorter, but this time I’m trying something new/ Always good for a change, eh?

I don’t know what it looked like before, but I love your haircut! The length and the style really suits you. And I agree - there’s nothing better than letting yourself be pampered by a hairdresser. It’s a good feeling :).

it looks great!!1 it frames your face so well.

i love the feeling of having someone massage my head but i’m actually a little afraid of professional hair cutters. i always get my twin sister to cut my hair.

Like Aisling, I chopped off all of my hair too, and for the same reasons as her also. I’m desperately trying to grow it out though - while it’s easier to maintain, at the end of the day I still wish I had long hair!
