He’s not in, get a clue!
The phone has not stopped ringing today. I woke up to a message that was left, it was from the bank. It wasn’t an actual person who left the message, it was an automated voice with someone’s actual voice when stating who they want to speak to. They want to speak to a “Seen Williams”, apparently. That is how Sean’s name was pronounced by the call centre operator, notice they got the surname wrong also. This irritates the heck out of me. Sean is out, so naturally I’d assume they’d call back, which they did. However, they called back an hour after the message was left and haven’t stopped since. In total, they have called five times so far. I keep picking up and all I’m getting is the automated voice. It instructs me to press three if the person is not available, I do so. You think they would call back later or the next day but no, they continue calling every hour. I can still hear the phone ringing, even though it isn’t. I feel like taking the phone off the hook, but I shouldn’t in case Sean needs to call.
I feel like calling the bank and telling them that my husband is not in and won’t be until 7pm-ish and politely ask they stop calling. I bet this phone call isn’t even important, I bet they are trying to sell him some over-priced, useless service as per usual. I worked in a call centre myself, but we would never call people up every hour. If they weren’t available in the morning, they’d be called in the evening. If they still weren’t available in the evening we’d schedule another call for the next day. We wouldn’t call the person every damn hour. If we did we’d most probably get a complaint.
Banks seem to think they’re immune and can do whatever they like. It annoys me so much. Even if I did call and say Sean is not here, they’d still keep calling. Hopefully next time they call they will get his name correct, maybe I should say there is no “Seen Williams” at this address? ![]()
