Bad luck

Wow, it’s been quite a day. Let me tell you, Internets.

  • I have felt sick as a dog all day;
  • I have had abdominal cramps and heartburn;
  • I was tinkering with Mandriva Linux (operating system, I was trying to install it on a partition) and somehow managed to wipe my whole hard drive;
  • I had Vista, a legal copy, now that’s not the case;
  • I have lost all my files, everything. I have zilch;
  • I now have Mandriva as my main operating system, I cannot figure it out;
  • My head hurts from trying to fathom how to install programs;
  • Nothing seems right on this darn operating system.

This sucks. I just want to cry. I know it’s only a computer and all, but I had loads of stuff installed, I had my wedding pics on here, etc. I know I should have backed up, ah well. I hope I can crack Linux, I will try hard to. If not, Sean has a copy of XP I can install. I don’t want this Linux to beat me, it’s very different from Windows but I will have a go. Windows isn’t the be all and end all.

I got the Internet working, after all. My head hurts so much right now, maybe I should admit defeat tonight and try again later. Ugh, I feel like such a ditz right now. :(

Edit: I have XP installed now. Mandriva was just not doing it for me. Call it giving up, but right now I am just not in the mood to mess around. I just want to get all my stuff back.

Lord of the Lulz

After the “OMGZ DRAAAMUH!”, I feel we all need to just relax and have a good old laugh at stupid stuff, or was that what we did? Anyway, I’d like to share with you something that fails in the flash movie making (probably intentional?) but totally wins at the “lawlz”. For me, anyway. I doubt anyone else will find it amusing. Anyway, enough babbling. Here it is. If you like Lord of the Rings you may appreciate this. I saw it the first time last year and it had me in stitches laughing. I feel very low right now so I felt I needed a pick-up, so I searched for it again. Again, I laughed and laughed. Oh, how little it takes to humour me.

This is full of win, also.
