Just my luck

My favourite necklace broke. I was wearing it all day today, got home from town, and the beads were falling off it. The bleeding thing snapped! I can't believe it. My favourite necklace! It can't be replaced so easily since I bought it a couple of years ago. This makes me a sad Panda. I really want to kick something right now, but I don't fancy a stubbed toe.

Sean and I popped up town today to find me a coat and to purchase more Christmas presents. I have lost my trusty winter coat, I have no idea where I mislaid it. I have a feeling I left it on a bus or something. I looked in every clothes shop and could not find a coat for £20 or less (my budget). All the lovely coats I'd love to have were in the region of £70-£90. That's way too much to be spending! I love the woolen coats that look smart. I had to resort to a thin, scruffy-looking jacket from ASDA. I don't think it'll be ideal for winter, but it'll have to do until I get more money. I don't think it was even worth £20. Why are the coats in stores now have to be nice but impractical, or they're really horrible and are good for the winter? I want a nice coat that doesn't look like a bin liner, but I want it to be warm and keep the rain out too. Fashion sucks.

I treated myself to a pair of Happy Bunny earrings and massive (I mean massive) Lip Smackers strawberry lip balm stick from Claire's Accessories. Both were in the sale and a snip at £3.50 for the two. Got to love a bargain. Like I mentioned earlier, we got more Christmas presents. We got Alexandra (our almost two-year-old neice) a Jack-in-the-box, I should say “Jill-in-the-box” since it's a little girl that jumps out. We got a few presents for family from Boots. Their three for two offers on gifts are great, plus I get advantage card points. We'll have the present shopping done soon enough, yay! We bumped into Kim ([info]kimmeh91) in The Entertainer. All was good, until my necklace broke that is.

I think I will take my anger out on a few Mursaat on Guild Wars. Die, buggers!

Need to work

I am going doolally not working, it gets so boring around here. I start my training on the 23rd for two days. I got a week to go.

We have got a few Christmas presents sorted already, which is great. I will start wrapping them tomorrow. We plan to purchase more presents, we are very determined to get the gift shopping done before November. I am not leaving it last minute anymore, it gets too stressful and I can't enjoy the festivities. It's my birthday quite soon, but I haven't been thinking about it much. My last birthday sucked a bag of you-know-what's, so I haven't really been hyped up over it. I kept joking to Sean that we should throw me a birthday party of the kiddie kind. You know, with balloons, party games, jelly, cocktail sausages, little sandwiches, etc. I would love to, but we can't make too much of a fuss since the neighbours are very complaint-happy, even though they are extremely noisy. It sucks around here, and it sucks to have a strict landlord. I suppose we could do a quiet party with just a few people around.
